August Affect Web Design Launches New Site for Wilderness Wildlife Museum

Wilderness Wildlife Museum ScreenshotSometimes it is easier to start all over again from scratch... this would have been one of those times. We did not, however, start from scratch, but definately should have.

The Wilderness Wildlife Museum had a website and not a bad one at that. They contacted me to simply add a backend store front for processing their sales of products and memberships. A custom storefront was built to process their sales. No problem.

Then, they wanted a custom blog. No problem, there, we built a custom Wordpress Blog for them.

The problem, however, came when the organization needed to add a few new pages highlighting their educational courses. See, the old site was built using images within the logo/header as the links to new pages. Without the original source files to change the images and add new ones for the new pages, we had a problem. So, we created all new headers for everypage and added a new css menu. Then, while we were in there discovering the old-outdated use of tables, we decided to just rewrite all the code and get rid of the tables (most of them, anyway). The site is now much faster loading and the new design will allow for adding future pages much easier! Visit the newly designed Wilderness Wildlife Museum Site .
